Hey everybody! I need some help, looking to pick up a new 2011 xD! I am siked! I am gonna order it with the Five Axis Kit! I have seen alot of photos online of the xD with the kit. I was wondering what tires would fit and if I could do 20's or would 19's be enough and how much I would need to drop it if at all so that there is no gap? I saw that xD by Five Axis sitting on 20's and it looked doable to me? I want that look. What does everybody suggest? I was thinking: on the front: 225/35R20 and on the rear 235 or 245/45R20. But again, not sure if they what will fit, and if I will need to do anything to make them fit right? I know very very little about sizing and all that so give me some feedback and some of your experience! Thanks!!!!

You can fit 20s if you want.

Hell you could fit bigger. It would cost money to modify to make sure the bigger wheels fit nice but you wont go anywhere very fast. Would become show IMO.

FROM DISCOUNTTIRE.COM:

Plus Three
225/35-19
235/35-19

Plus Four
235/30-20

These are tire sizes that would keep your overall diameter of your wheel and tire combo close to the stock diameter and thus keep your speedo closely accurate.

As far as drop, if you keep the wheels diameter the same you could POSSIBLY do normal drops with springs. I say POSSIBLY because it depends on how wide your wheels are. IF wheels are wider then you may not beable to drop it or drop much without rubbing.

Many things are possible. But first thing to do is figure out what you really want. then you can go from there figuring out what will work and not work together.

Without knowing exactly what wheel and tire setup you want we can't advise on drop. or vice versa with out knowwing what kinda of drop you are wanting we can tell your what wheel/tire combo will work.

drop the car on 20's and it will be sitting at stock height on 16's

^^^ why is that.

Going with a 235/30-20 is only ~.34 inches bigger in overall diameter. meaning that the car will only raise by ~.17 inches from stock height. So if you drop it 1.5 inches it would still be ~1.33 inches lower than stock xd with stock 16s.

visually, the car will will look lke a donk. try me on it and you'll see. I throw my Work Dh's on my xD and the car will looked like it's not lowered.

visually maybe not, but realistically it will be.

Don't go with 19's, tires are way too expensive due to the odd size...I personally think I would go with 18x8.5 in the front and some 18x9.5 in the rear...If you can afford coil overs, go with them...If not, go with Tein S-Techs or Tanabe DF210's...

Wow! seriously, thanks u guys for all the advice! I am really thinking of doin the 20's. 18's arent enough me right now, and I know 19's odd size. Im thinkin of doing 225/35-20 on the fronts and 235/35/20 on rear and mod'in to fit. Then if after that I need to drop just a tad, maybe just doin Trd springs which are suppose to drop about .5, which aint much but maybe just enough to get it were I want it? Thought about Tein's springs because i cant afford coilovers, but they drop from 1.5-2 which I think is goin be way to much. Anymore thoughts? If I needed to mod it out for the 20's for it to fit, what would you guys suggest I need to do? Thanks for the feedback!

The TRD sprins will drop more around 1-1.5 after the sag sets in.
