Im curious if anyone has tried swapping a new scion head unit and aux/USB into an older model that doesn't support the new iOS devices?
IE: I have an 08 I'd like to put a 2011/2012 head unit in and the 2011/2012 aux/USB port in place of my current base pioneer unit and iPod port.
Has anyone attempted this or is it more cost effective to just go aftermarket?
I'd like to use my iPad and possibly build a custom mount in place of the upper glove box, not sure what kind of impact that would have on the passenger should there ever be a collision though!
