Thanks, yeah, I was resisting the drop, but i do think it looks better now... unfortunately, both my front tires scrape the liners right at the wheel well lip at every little dip, not sure what I gonna do...

As for your wheels rubbing have you had you alignment checked to make sure the camber and toe aren't out of alignment. just a suggestion.

Two did you put the bump stops back in?

Only reason I ask is my old xB i lowered on the teins and i left the bump stops out and it allowed the vehicle to be lowered about another 1/2 inch and it rubbed the inner fender when I turned. there was a bolt covered by the inner fneder lining and there was a bulge in the inner fender lining to make it fit over and cover the bolt and when turning my tires rubbed the bulging part.

It scrapes when just driving straight and hitting a small dip or bump, sometimes even just an asphalt patch in the road will do it... anything that makes the tire hop up more than a inch or inch and a half... if I hit a larger dip or bump, it will fully bottom out in the front, but I was expecting that to happen with the car lowered... it will sometimes rub when cornering fairly aggressively, and I think it rubs when at full lock turning left...

I did not remove the bump stops, but actually CUT them down, about the bottom 2" (at the top of the plastic ring in middle of the bumpstop) as was recommended, both in the included Progress instruction sheet and instructions I printed off the internet for putting Tanabe DF's on a Yaris - same suspension, same drop... otherwise, I'd be bottoming out all the time instead of rubbing, that would be even worse, I think... I also had instructions for TRD springs on the xD, but since the TRD's are only a 1" drop, cutting the bumpstops wouldn't be necessary, so those instructions didn't say anything about cutting them...

rhino's right, they look real nice on the NBM xD, just the offset is way off...is that a gunmetal finish on the spokes, or just silver? I was going to get my first set of R1 wheels with some gunmetal on them, but i didn't know if it would look right with the blue car, so I got black finish instead...

Okay, I meant to ask you what you ended up doing.

I told Troy that I actually cut out the entire middle piece (the plastic) and just put the top and bottom together. Gave a helluva nice drop on it!

xDizzle - I think you should get front wheels like that and leave the rear ones as-is. I like the mix n' match!

Those look nice on the d. Dizz i like the sport max's. I had the black ones in a 15x8 with a 0 offset and they stuck out a little.

I know all my pics are kinda monotonous with the same 3/4 shot from the front left of the car, but I want to do a calendar shot from the front, and the driver's side has the decal that says "Scion xD" - on the passenger side it basically reads backwards "xD Scion" .... so I'm somewhat limited in my angle of shooting... sorry!

Hey all, great news, went to a small Scion show in Allentown, PA yesterday, about 15 cars in the show. They gave out 6 prizes, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Best Sound, and 1st, 2nd & 3rd Best of Show. I actually won 1st place Best of Show with my xD, against quite a few very nice xBs and tCs... won a big trophy, a $10 Best Buy gift card, and $150 from the Scion Dealer... It was a good day all in all, four of us from the Pennsylvania Scikotics group won trophies - I'm the sexy one(!) in the Grumpy t-shirt on the far right in the last photo:

Well, the only catch is, the $150 I won from the Dealer is not cash, it's for parts or service... but since the dealer is 60 miles away from my home, I guess I'll put the money toward a Scion/TRD accessory part for my car... I don't have a lot of choices, though, it's mainly between these few items - the price is the list price from Scion.com, hopefully the dealer will sell a little less without installation:

Cargo cover/rear deck for $259
4-in-1 interior LED lighting kit (way overpriced at $299)
LED Illuminated Scion Door Sills $290
Sport Steering Wheel $279
Auto-dimming mirror $229

That's about all of my choices, I have pretty much every other accessory or an aftermarket equivalent... So what do you guys think I should go for?

dont spend the money on the interior light kit... if you want to do interior lights get the cold cathodes from oznium.com... they are only like $7...

The brake pads were on back order, my set showed up today... only took 6 weeks to get...

I personally would get the steering wheel if I had to choose, but its all on you man!

Well, that is my plan - but the tires that are on there now only have about 6K miles on them, so they're practically new yet... when it's time to put new rubber on, I'll probably go with a 215 tire instead of the 225's I have on now... only thing is, by the time it's time to change out my tires, I'll probably have the edges of the wheel well liners worn down enough that they don't scrape anymore... :laughing1:

yes they are. i can't afford 20's or 19's. this was already pushing it for me on the wallet. 20 would be too big for the look i want. and 19 if was just a little cheaper i'd go that route. but the few g's i spent on the 18's was just in my budget.

Yeah, the in-channel vent visors are so much cleaner and sleeker looking - and a bit more expensive. Those I have on the xD are Weathertech, about $120 for the set.

Yep you nailed it...Were gonna add lighting under where the amps are and possibly a 10" monitor...Also ordered RF metal speaker grills and i'm gonna paint the outer edge Hot Lava to make it stand out...I will post updated pics when it's done...

I think it rides nice. Of course the lower you are the smoother the ride, the higher the bumpier. I drive with the body around 6 inches from the ground "legal height"

It's the full (front/back/sides) Extreme Dimensions GT Concept kit. The only thing I have build pictures for is the air ride. alpine unit is.... ok, but i'm not the biggest fan of HD radio. when the digital signal is lost and switches back to analog, and vice versa, the song "skips" and it just does it too much to enjoy it.

ya the springs are way to soft for my set up. thinking air ride would help or air shocks cuz i cant ride anymore then 3 people in my car cuz it hits the tires side wall. as he said my frenders got messed up a little even rolled and pulled a little. o and im not running any spacer

you know, i should put up more pics.... considering the mods i've done.

side note, my new D does not have 1 incandescent bulb left in it. every bulb is LED (besides headlights). tail, stop, turns, back-up, license plate, cargo hatch, dome, map, side markers, parking lights. all LED.

plus the firefighter LED lightbars in it (dash and rear window) and the 3 million color advanced LED interior kit with wireless controller inside. oh and the fire scanner. maybe it's time to put up some new pics...

I since then cut out the screen areas over the grills and the fog lights. The bra is from "LeBra" brand. Do a search and you'll find different places offering it for the xD. It would fit good and look nicer if I didn't have the 5-Axis body kit. It wasn't designed to go over a body kit, but I have too many chips from winter driving in PA so I'm keeping it on for winter:

on another note i raised the front an inch for travel out of town (if you dont its a nightmare trying to navigate places that you dont know), still no wheel gap in the front but less tuck, and the back sits a tad lower from weight transfer i guess. I think it looks better because the back was way too high, and thats without the height adjustment collars on the springs

OK, I got 3 more cheaps mods I did, I got my window vents for $15, I got the green paint at Ace Hardware for 49 cents, and 5 sm led bulbs for my license plate for $4. All I need now for the engine cover is a 10in Blue scikotics decal which I can't find. My secondary colors is blue and green. My next mods are not going to be cheap but I'm going to try to have them done by Asylum. I going to get a 10 pc muti color led kit which I'm going to have under the car, in the car and in the engine bay. Also going to get 20% window tint and a custom Scikotics back window decal with blue/green . Then still figure what kind of sound system I'm going to get. well here the pics:
