Slight resemblance to Dodge Caliber?

I just think our beloved XD and the Dodge Caliber look A LITTLE alike.

They are small hatchbacks but that is about as far as it goes IMO.

What's more interesting (and, no, the Caliber looks nothing like the xD, nor vice versa) is the trend in small hatches (yay) happening in the US, and, yeah, that they are tending to look like xDs, especially in the rear.
