Vinyl Graphics

Has anyone done a graphic design on their car yet? I have seen some on other models and a few on the xDs. They can be very cool IMHP but some can also be uncomplimentary with the car.

I used to have vinyl on my Tacoma, some people liked it, some didn't. If you 've got graphics, lets see 'em!

Where would like to put yours? Down tha door like the one pictured? Any idea what what style/design you want?

Yeah, I actually do not want a typical graphic scheme. But I do want to put black vinyl on the inserts on each side skirt, and the small recesses on the side of the front lip, and on the rear lower bumper recesses. These areas are only found on the RS 1 bodywork, and I have not seen another one done this way.

The black vinyl I would prefer is similar to the vinyl on the window pillars, (not super shiny) and should give it a clean and understated look. Along with window tint and some cool black wheels with an orange stripe, it will be a nice finishing touch.

I will be looking at a sample of matte black vinyl for this project on Friday nite. If it matches the window pillars nicely, I'll ask for a price quote to do all I mentioned above.

Well, of course many of you know I did some vinyl on mine, the custom SCION and xD lettering on the doors and the rear bumper...

...but what a lot of people don't know or realize is that the lettering is custom-made from REFLECTIVE vinyl, so it glows very brightly at night in other car's headlights...Suprise! :drool:

I rock the body vinyls too! However, when I was working with the cutter, I told him I didn't want anything on the side skirts. They are bumpy anyway so I didn't want to deal with the texture. *blech*

I was at a show the end of May, and this guy with the Storm Cloud Metallic (is that the right color??) had a strip of vinyl to make it look matte. Looked AWESOME! Here's a photo of that:

Kelsi, the graphic scheme you chose for your car looks great, and the vinyl emblem on the hood is very interesting, I like that idea! I had thought about a custom emblem there, but that's very cool. :cool:

Yeah at first a lot of us thought it was a custom paint job. Then when we got really close we could tell it was vinyl. The color is perfect!

I saw some xd's with their front middle bumper with black paint/vinyl on it and IT LOOKS SICK! anyone know where to get that done with a good price? preferably vinyl, coz it would be way lot cheaper than having the whole thing repainted.

someone did it with vinyl but he said it was a bish and took 4 hrs or so... if ur a member of scikotics.com go to the xD forum and theres a write up on it...

I really like that look too, but black vinyl wouldn't work on my xD because of the polished aluminum billet grills I have installed... and with a dark blue car, the black wouldn't really stand out much either... so, I thought about doing it with a chrome vinyl to match up with the grills, but I figured no, that would be way too much shiny, lol!

chrome vinyl would've really been way too shiny.. but did you try to photoshop first with the black? I have a barcelona red so it is really a SICK combo. red and black.. I'll post pics when it's done

I completely have this planned for my xD. But its new wheels first. And in saving up to get the xD, I put off some work on my del sol so its new front end bushings ( @ The least ) B4 that.

Last week, just before the snow hit! I found it on www.azautographics.com. It was under 'custom' combo. It was designed for the xB, but I told him to make it 11" shorter so it would fit my xD. It will look better when I eventually get some 18" wheels...
