i figured it out...ughh.....its more of a pain in the ass then i thought....how does this thing even do anything...you gotta jack the car up...take the front wheel off...stick your hand under the wheel wall area put the damn screw in then pray to god it doesnt fall off while you grab a wrench..

I have never seen the upper one designed with only one mount point before... I have a tanabe and it uses both the holes in the towers...

yeah...this one only seems to be fitted into one of the holes? lol...so strange i was expecting something so much more different..

^^^ Right Chris, your old piece utilized all the mounting holes on the tower, most do, my civic used them all, my accord, my 240sx, and my xD...

Eddie, have you test fitted it yet? do the holes line up?

the ultra racing only bolts to 1 hole... but in reality the bar is kinda pointless as the front strut towers are built into the firewell so its already pretty stiff.. however it is a very nice looking piece... : )

yeah i got the stupid thing in..total waste of money..i really dont think it does anything..i dont see how this thing makes a difference...now its just gonna be more annoying when i need to change my battery in my car because its so damn close to the bar.

I noticed a considerable difference in handling when I installed the Tanabe front upper. Can we get pics of the ultra installed?

i think alot of that is the placebo effect your mind is thinking that there is a difference.... haha but best suspension piece to buy would be the rear sway bar that you will see a huge difference from stock

I noticed a difference too actually when I was running DF210s, Felt a lot more secure on hard turn ins... havnt pushed the car hard at all since i put coilovers on though so not sure there.

But i wouldnt buy one just for the performance, i wouldnt say the difference justifies the cost

I installed the TRD rear after the Tanabe front, and I actually did not notice a difference when I put the rear on...

thats definetely strange as like i said before the front strut towers are already tied together by your firewall as well as the front come stock with a sway bay so an added rear sway bar should be like night and day...

---------- Post added at 01:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:21 AM ----------

as the car without a rear sway bar and the stock front sway bar should noticabbly understeer... so when u add the sway bar to the rear should neutralize the said effect of the stock front.... : )

ya i agree really the only way for a front strut brace to work on the xd is to mount it to the top were you bolt the strut to the cars tower if you see thats were the flex is.ill try and get pic of waht im talking about so you can see what i mean
