I like my scion but I want to get back to volvo. sounds like I want to get a gramma's car lol. But I still gots 10k left on the xd. My question is. What do you think is the value if I returned it? or is it possible to transfer my papers to another person to take over payments? btw its an 09

Well you can't just return a car, you can sell it outright, or trade it in. Trade in value is around 10K, you could though, make it stock and sell it for a little more money...

But why a volvo?

turns out I got less due to aftermarket parts (went to carmax). and I didnt get the quote as I wanted it so im going to stick with it for awhile. and it was my 1st car and you know how it is with insurance age 16 with a euro car.

and this is my main reason. my dream car

A dealer will screw you over, find out blue book and sell it for that.

yea carmax told me its because its modified that it lowered its value. But there going to come out with some good parts (i believe) so i'll stick around. But im car bi-polar so we'll see lol. thanks for the advise though

Like I said don't sell/trade to Carmax or any dealer...they will screw you over big time. If you decide to sell it park at the local college with a for sale sign and it would probably be gone in the week. :)

a good rule of thumb when trying to sell a moded car is take the avg of NADA and KBB. then take how much money youve wasted on mods take 33% of that and subtract it from your avg. thats how much your car is realistically worth.

then theres the old adage "theres an ass for every seat" which means put the price you want for the car and wait till the right ass walks by... may take a while tho.

keep in mind with a modded car, you modded it to YOUR likeings, asking a dealer to find someone else to like what you like is a challenge for them and not worth too much money....

that is true. Rather Put a for sale sign. Based on how far I paid on the car and Invested with parts. Its no where near close to give it to carmax nd walk out with nothing. not worth it.
