Hello all,

My name is Tanner Larson I am from Seattle, WA but I currently reside in Vancouver WA. I have an orange xD with the DAMD body kit. I recently last summer put in a 550 watt amp and two 10" JL audio subs in my car, they sound amazing and its an ear tickling experience ;) considering I also have a bass knob so i can control the punch level.

Just wondering for you experts or well seasoned xD folks! =D what are some cheap and easy mods to get a little more punch when i push down my pedal and drop into second or third. I also notice I have very little if any acceleration in 4th or 5th my car seems to top out in third then its a slow climb. What can I do to give my baby a little extra "PAH" you might say?

Any and all suggestions are welcome! THANKS! :)

Welcome Tanner.

For some more "oomph" I did intake, exhaust, underdrive pulley, port and polished head, full synthetic oil, and I use 93 octane gas, my xD pulls pretty well now, I can even beat stock tC's.

Right on, i have noticed a difference when I just put the higher grade gasoline in. Right now i am saving up to buy an intake and also a new ecu to piggy back the current one. I think thats a good start for now.

I have seen a lot of different choices online can i get some suggestions as to which brand is best? Right now i am looking at an HMS w/ K&N filter for intake and possibly a Magna Flow or Borla. If it isnt too much trouble maybe some opinions on ECU chips?

Thanks in advance!

For the exhaust, check out the Strup that was just released...You can check my thread by clicking here http://www.scionxdforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=723 for pics and videos of the exhaust...As far as the intake goes, I went with the $30 Spectre short ram that is sold at Checker Auto/Kragen or Auto Zone...It works great and you can't beat the cost...Here is the thread on that http://www.scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158384&highlight=spectre+intake ...Read all (4) pages and make sure you get the 3.5 inch one because it's a direct fit...

@YESOLUB Thanks man, much appreciated! The only other question I have about this is, does it void the warranty if I install it myself?

Nope, but that particular part wont be warrantied any more...

He speaks the truth...But the muffler itself is warrantied through Strup however...

Alright thanks guys, so no worries about installing parts onto my car and voiding the warranty! That's great, i have hesitated on doing it for so long because i was afraid of voiding the warranty! Joining a forum was an awesome idea, you guys are extremely helpful!

Thanks!

There is a group that meets at least once a month at Sonic in Hillsboro. They post meetups on ScionLife and Scikotics regional forums. They are trying to move them around, but that is where they usually meet.
