Just wanting to know if any one has read this months Dsport mag. I bought it a week or so ago and it's fairly informative. It reviews select new cars and gives their real world numbers as far as weight and dyno.
It covers the XD, the Fit, and the Fiesta. Giving lots (what I thought) was good insight. It also comes with a DVD, but it doesn't have our class of car in it. They say it was too boring to show the road course, drag and other test they did for our class. :favorites68:

well, the D in Dsport used to mean Drag and now Drift. som I'm not sure why they waste their time with cars like ours to begin with. guess they want to steer people away from slow cars

This is what I was talking about. If you guys lived closer I'ld just let you borrow the mag but here are the highlights. Also a cover shot so you can find it and pick it up if you're so inclined.

What is this calculated power they keep talking about?

They're referring to the dynojet they used. The 120 hp they got (on the XD) then they add 15% drive train loss. So they think the motor is putting out around 140hp.

I like the info. They give good power info, a real weight and proportioning, and they give a power to weight ratio or lbs per hp unit.
