Anyone here nearing 200k on there XD yet?

I think the car should last me at least 200-300k, maybe more with proper care.

Right now I am right at 23,000 on my 09 RS2. Have owned it since it had 2 miles on it, flawless, not one speck of issues, etc with anything (except crappy stock tires lol)

Just curious if anyone has really high mileage on the XD yet.[COLOR="Silver"]

'09 with 54,000 miles on it. No problems, just the recall repair. Five oil changes, replaced manual trans fluid with synthetic, and one set of tires.

Here's the real question: What do you mean when you ask how long it will last? The engine? The engine can be replaced or rebuilt. The transmission? Same answer. Body/frame rust? This could also be repaired. If you mean "when will repairs exceed cost of replacing the car," then you could quantify that answer (however, it would still be a guess). Right now, my '09 is worth $11,175 according to Kelley Blue Book. If my engine died today, it would be worth replacing it.

On the other hand, a 2001 Toyota Corolla (I used the Corolla because it is probably the most comparable car from 10 years ago) with 200,000 miles on it and in "fair" condition is worth $2,220. If you owned one, would you spend $2,000 in repairs to keep it on the road? Some people would, some people would not.

My father is a Mercedes mechanic, and he regularly has customers who spend more every two years keeping their cars running than they are worth. They just like their cars. They aren't even thinking about replacing them. Many of them have over 500,000 miles on them.

40,896 miles and just got a flat tire. The only real problem was running out of gas with 2 bars on the fuel display. Strange, as I've had it flashing on 1 bar and still had 30 miles or so.

It is at the dealership as I write this for new tires and service, including scanning the gas gauge for whatever it is that caused the problem.

Other than that, my car runs great! :)

Bring it in, your fuel sender is toast.

Mine did the same thing when i hit a large brick that fell off the back of a trailer in front of me and it played ping pong in my undercarriage.probably hit the gas tank and threw it out of wack... ran out of gas 3 times including at 2am that same morning before i realized something was up and took it in

130k here. Got mine before anyone else had one cause I have some gnarly connects.

Oh, and I have changed the serpentine belt and water pump. And perhaps will need to do it all over again soon??
