Need some help! Long story short, during a camping trip my boyfriend's dog tore up parts of my interior. She had never been camping before so she was to sleep in the car with the windows slightly open, but apparently she has separation anxiety and the poor thing freaked :\

Pics:
Roof panel

Chewed antenna cable, airbag seems intact, but not sure. Thinking of removing panel and comparing to driver side airbag.

Munched seat belt :\

I'm unsure of how to go about the repairs; my options are either to obtain the parts form wrecked xDs and repair myself (roof is easy but seat belt ???), or take it to a shop, or file a claim. The airbag looks fine, but according to the manual the car should be taken to the stealership immediately if any airbags are exposed. But I know better than to trust everything on the manual. My question I guess is, what's the best/cheapest way to go??

Thanks for any feedback, it's appreciated :)

I just took a very long trip (3770 miles) and had some interesting observations in mpg. (mpg was from full tanks driving at those speeds). MPG were from display not calculated.

Driving regularly with distance of 5 miles on cold engines around where I live I usually get 27/28 mpg to a full tank.

On the trip via full tanks:

in ca going 75mph using 87 octane - got 37mpg

up in ID and WY using 85 octane going around 45-50 mph I got 44 mpg and 65mph I got 41/43mpg. Talked to a local person driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser (he asked me first what I was getting and got really mad) he mentioned only getting 22mpg max

in MT using 87 octane driving around 40-45mph i got 41mpg and 65mph i got around 39/40 mpg.

Back in ca 87 octane 37mpg going 68 mph with strong head wind ( i also got 43+ mpg for full tank but that was coming down from a Shasta on the long decent for many miles...).

I wasn't trying to hyper-mile just driving normally. Interesting i got such good mpg with 85 octane (Idaho and Wyoming).

Just wanting to know if any one has read this months Dsport mag. I bought it a week or so ago and it's fairly informative. It reviews select new cars and gives their real world numbers as far as weight and dyno.
It covers the XD, the Fit, and the Fiesta. Giving lots (what I thought) was good insight. It also comes with a DVD, but it doesn't have our class of car in it. They say it was too boring to show the road course, drag and other test they did for our class. :favorites68:
