Use a heat gun or hair dryer (just takes longer) to soften the adhesive and they will usually peel right off. Use some goof-off or glue-gone to remove any remaining residue and it will be good as new. Or at least as good as it was before you sticker bombed it.

Lookin good!

TexXBox 04-09-2011 11:21 PM

Me likes.

How difficult is it to remove your amp/sub enclosure? Looks like you have a pretty good solution to the bass vs. space and spare tire problem.

simmons0613 04-09-2011 11:38 PM

very nice! I love the CF vinyls

x2cafn8dx 04-10-2011 07:16 AM

Pretty fast actually. it tilts forward quite a bit, thus the slack on the ground wire that is obvious. the hardest part about it is that the sub weighs like 40 lbs lmao. for complete removal.. just undo wires and pull it out.. not a giant feat :)

TexXBox 04-10-2011 08:21 PM

Do you have any kind of screws or mount of some sort on it to keep it from sliding around while you drive, or does it just stay put because of its weight and placement?

x2cafn8dx 04-10-2011 09:50 PM

stays put.. the front panel actually goes into the area of the trunk space not filled by sub, the passenger rear seat is slid forward and the driver's half is all the way back. it sits against there. doesn't move.. i had the sub box half done in the car for 3 weeks before finishes touches.. and it never moved a bit. I'll take better pictures of the sub setup when i can so you can see what i mean

xd king 04-17-2011 12:53 PM

it was rad we had a little install day at my place
we are all from differant spots in socal
and we're all in the same club

robbiej 04-17-2011 01:43 PM

Only way I can get 3 xD's together is to find 2 parked next to each other at the mall and park with them, lol.

simmons0613 04-17-2011 01:46 PM

haha! that will never happen here. But I am noticing more xD than usual now. So maybe just maybe. Right if you want this shot you have to go to the dealership.

JDMJim 04-17-2011 04:12 PM

I run into the other two gray xD's here all within a couple days last week.

robbiej 04-17-2011 04:42 PM

I live extreme west of PA, but given enough advanced notice i might be able to do something like this. Took me 8 hours to get to Ocean City last year and 7 to get to Orange County NY :(

JDMJim 04-22-2011 08:15 PM

that door ding is nothing in comparison to what I have acquired over the last couple years....My xD looks awesome form teh drivers side. and like a beater form the passenger side >:(

xd_kidd 04-24-2011 10:22 AM

ouch same here. a few key marks as well. The day I find a person doing that ima :chair:

x2cafn8dx 04-26-2011 12:14 PM

I have a wicked door ding on my driver's door and a nice dent and chip on back passenger door from salt this winter :( I need to have the dent pulled then not worry about it until i get the car painted next spring

Yay pics! I love that xD <3

simmons0613 05-09-2011 06:43 PM

I just painted my disc brakes blue. They are curing right now so I will post pics tomorrow. I plan on doing my drums later. I'm also going to paint my tc rims a "shadow" Chrome color probably tomorrow or wednesday.

xd_kidd 05-09-2011 07:09 PM

dude where have you been?
hows ur xd been treating you on the dirt?

robbiej 05-09-2011 07:36 PM

nice pics Dan.

TheJonas53 05-09-2011 08:18 PM

Thanks guys. I have not done much dirt running for a while. I finally fixed the front end from my little ditch incident this winter. I messed up the radiator support, ac system, and bumper cover jumping a ditch and slamming the front end into the ground (not on purpose). Good times. Fixed it in a weekend with a new radiator support, removed the a/c system except for the evaporator, and stitched the bumper cover back together. The car was pretty haggard over the winter.

simmons0613 05-09-2011 08:30 PM

you need to talk to rallyxd, you guys could have some info to help each other

TheJonas53 05-10-2011 07:46 AM

I have talked to him a little. I wish I had the money to do what the rally car has. I have a rally car on a very tight budget lol.

xDevint 05-10-2011 06:31 PM

robbiej 05-10-2011 08:50 PM

Very nice....

simmons0613 05-10-2011 10:34 PM

haha! I just recognized your xB. I believe I met you at scikotics pre-exposed last year at the lift rental place.

xd_kidd 05-10-2011 11:14 PM

how much did the radiator support cost you? I did a small number on mines a lil while ago. long story.. :emotions122:

TexXBox 05-10-2011 11:23 PM

That head on shot with the lights looks wicked Dan. Wouldn't want you behind me in the dark. :)

And Brian, the chrome and orange accents on the black wheels really works well on your ride imo.
