either or get a better platform for power. or figure out some custom work for the xD. |
Gut out all the interior, get a bucket seat, cai, custom full exhaust, get a pulley, wait for headers, get a throttle control, get good light weight wheels, get some carbon fiber while your at it and it should be very quick lol

Thanks guys,
This discussion really helped me narrow down what i want to do. Im not going to do the installation and all that right now but i was thinking of running my car as long as possible, do an engine swap and really put on the mods, all i want to do right now is an intake, exhaust, and maybe an ECU or another small upgrade. But this definetly helped for what i want down the road! When I said "Extremely" I meant I am extremely interested in upgrading my xD, I love this car, I could have picked any car I wanted. I wanted a car that got great gas mileage, hatchback, quick, compact, and fun to drive. This car had everything I wanted, AND the orange is such an amazing color. All I want to do for now is small upgrades but i do later on want to put a turbo on it, i love the sound and the power. I was thinking a Toyota MR2 engine but i dont know if that would even work? Besides the engine upgrade I want my xD to look one of a kind, so after engine parts its straight to looks, I just bought my Intake and i am working on my exhaust, I have about 180 right now for that. Thanks DooDs! |

to do what they did I would say yeah definitely but to put in stock i say wow that is alot. I am not saying it didn't cost that to do stock but it does seem kinda high. But if the $10K includes all Engine 3S-GTE conversion; JE pistons; custom Injen front-mount intercooler and plumbing; custom manifold, radiator, fans, hoses; custom DC Sports exhaust; Airwerks K24 turbocharger; GReddy RS blow-off valve; Microtec ECU; NGK plugs; 550cc RC Engineering fuel injectors; Aeromotive fuel pump, pressure regulator; ARC oil cap; DME Radiator cap Then I say about worth it. |
stock cause there were a few custom fab. parts into the making. If all that power and such for 10k then yea it be great lol
---------- Post added at 04:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:08 PM ---------- Nd now that ii remember. M2 said they were goin to design a turbo kit after sema. |
Holy Moses 10k!!!! daaaayuuuumm. Well maybe later down the road xD haha.
Besides all that I just finished installing my aFe magna force stage 2 CAI and it is amazing, I can not only hear it working i feel the little extra umph around 3500rpms when I step on it. Next stop Exhaust, and putting some decent looking rims on this go kart =D |
I mean if there's enough interests. Ptuning. (Scion specialists) can make turbo kits for 4k if we can get 10 ppl in .. and m2 motoring was gonna make a turbo kit for the xd for about 2.5k .. Idk what happened to that. I kinda want a turbo if 2zz is too expensive ifnot 1zz can be built and maybe fit the same trans.
