then i saw his 1 hour special. "my name is on the drum!!!" one. i knew he was going to be huge after that. when his popularity rose, i couldn't stand the people hopping on and saying they loved him without knowing his previous work. and now, just over-hyped. ike barinholtz impersonates him perfectly, because i see that his routine has NEVER changed. some of the jokes have, but i can't really stand him anymore. |
I was around for the original works from DC, I think I have seen all of his acts, except for the most recent one. I like his comic style. makes me laugh, I enjoy that he takes everyday things, or experiences that we all have had and makes them funny. just my 2 cents...

So, how's my cover coming along, Ted? Any update yet? :)
Not yet I'm still working on it. I think it might end up being pushed another week, like we originally planned. I have started the art work it and should be able to have it finished by weeks end, so I will most likely be shipping early next week.
Hey LittleD, how about dane cook's story coming true? That lady getting killed by the tire at the drag racing track.
i know it's not funny, but "SHE TRIES TO BLOCK IT!!!!" |

looks good! good job ted
Thank you, I still need to add lettering and do some more shading on it. hopefully I will have time today after work to get it finished so I can send it off to clear coat...
That is some kick a$$ work Ted. Love troys so far and needs to add the phrase to it.
Ted added some more detail to the Cylon, so it looks even better now, and he is starting on the lettering tonight. We were batting some ideas back and forth the last two weeks, so that slowed things up a bit. Can't wait to see the final product! :)
I finished this one up a few days ago. Thought you guys might want to see it:

what type of paint is the best paint to use when you paint the engine cover?
The paint itself doesn't really matter much. What's important is the prep work and proper dry times, that alone can take days when your layering multiple colors on it. I personally use krylon or rustoleum paints because they are the most convenient to get. 24 hour walmart ftw!
Haha! Awesome!!! We bad, We bad...!! :signs6:
Now I'll really be ready for the 2010 car show season! :party36: |
that's frakking sick!!!
Thank you, so it got clear coated this morning, i should be able to ship it out by Tuesday. On to the next.
That turned out awesome, nicely done...
I got 2 more covers I am working on right now, one is the Dyrdek praying mantis and the other is an orange M&M lol. I also just did a random one for my sisters A4, we were hanging out at a car wash and I pulled her cover and went to town on it... took me about 2 hours, but I banged it out in 1 sitting, pic: http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/a...ngineCover.jpg
Here's a pic of my cover installed in the engine bay, Ted wanted to see it installed... also a closeup shot showing a little more detail in the gun flames and head... I posted these over in the photo thread as well...

First car show of the season here is this coming Saturday, the 10th, we'll see how the show crowds like it... :) |
yea let me know Troy
Wow, very cool stuff, I don't know how I missed this thread. Guess I need to be more active, lol. As much as I would love to have this done, right now any extra cash is going to hospital bills.
Well thank you. :)
Hey Ted, I saw a pic of Monica's cover, looks(ed) really good...
Well unfortunately, Monicas cover got pushed back a few days... the paint wasnt fully dry when it got cleared and ended up blending/running with the clear... so I already stripped it and laid down a new base coat, I'll be working on it all day tomorrow and then clearing it again monday or tuesday of next week, then hopefully have it shipped out by wednesday so she gets it by Friday...
again.. take your time. No worries. Rims got backordered too so i won't get them for another week ><
So maybe the week of the 19th... but I may not be able to go to the Scion RSVP event depending on the day they come in stuff happens :) You learn from this :P |
