New Parts?
 

Ok so well all know the latest release was the lt header and mid-pipe but i think were ready to see something new :) any body know or have any sources that might know of any new parts that are possibly coming out? throttle body upgrade, intake manifold, etc.... anything lol

I forget which company did it but an intake manifold was out for a little while but it was sort of a bust. While gains were made it was all on the top end (only a few ponies at that) and it killed off the bottom end.

yea i think it was dynatek, but, i heard of another company je import performance and they actually do have an intake manifold for the XD but its very pricey. the gains are good. they claim 16 whp and 8 lbs-trq its not what they wanted out of the product so they only make the manifold upon request. price tag: $1000 :/

companies are not gonna put interests till people start modding more with the parts that is already available in the market lol

Actually I think it was JE that made the intake, I'm not sure though but their is a member here with the intake installed.

than we gotta use you as an example chris lol cus u have just about everything done to your XD that anyone possibly could. i think if a larger throttle body, intake manifold, and maybe good piggy-back system were available plus all the mods that there already are (power-performance wise) our cars would be pretty sick.

There were three versions, Ohcrap got the first two and I got the last version. Mine gained a little power at the top and bottom ends of the power band, and lost a chunk of torque in the middle (where the vvti kicks in). After I finish with my exhaust, I was going to fiddle with it again. It also rattles against the hood latch bar on the car, so yeah need to look at that too. By the way, the manifolds aren't available, they were done from JE for sikky to make a product. They weren't satisfied with the product. So I guess if you wanted to run by JE to try again, they might try a new design.

They just added a rubber coupler elbow to work with my injen intake stock position.

maybe what you need is a good tune. get camcon.

ii think the xd be a good car for vip, stance flushed ect.

if you want speed. go with every thing that is already provided. all bolt ons. clutch/lsd ... weight reduction. im sure that will get the box going.

I also think the xd is more stance VIP investing the money to try and get the xd fast is pointless that's just my opinion tho... form>function lol

Everybody got an opinion, and what I mod mine the way I do is because I enjoy it. I don't like superfluous crap on my car that has no function.

anyways. theres enough parts to keep us occupied. its just the matter if you like what there is to offer... like theres carbon fiber parts out ... clutch upgrade. headers...

cant wait till winter is over with. so ii can mod this box to the core and call it a day lol

I've been wanting to do a HID retrofit for a while now, and this kit looks like what I would want. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=237

What looks nice to me about it is that:
1. There should be no permanent cutting or glueing needed to be done with a small bezel
2. It would retain stock aiming system - so during install all that is needed is to make sure the horizon is level.
3. You can get a denso ballast and a Phillips bulb - so quality shouldn't be an issue.

What do you guys think?

looks interesting actually. id like to see that installed. i had a hell of a time with HID's so i scrapped them (learned my lesson getting cheapo's ;x ). I wasn't intending to look into lighting unless a better option came about and i think this would be bang-on.

I paid 15 buks for my 30000k hids and they work better than my 100 dollar ones lol less is more

agreed i payed $40 for my kit and it has a lifetime warranty. the company that makes the kit i bought does the oem lighting system for bmw and porsche

I like this because its a complete kit unlike my kit from hidextra. It's more legit than just a Casper shield.

talking about DDM tuning? i heard their customer service went to crap.

Yea DDM tuning, and i never had a problem. the only complaint i would have is that the waiting time on the phone if you ever needed help. there kits are top notch. one of my ballast blew (idk why) they sent me an upgraded ballast at no charge.
