damn that D is sick!!

SciFion 06-17-2009 03:11 PM

xD's sure stick out when they're done right. I like it too! I see snow in the first pic, then see a dude with shorts walking past in another. Same event? Seems kind of unusual..

xDevint 06-17-2009 04:54 PM

Loving the xD and the body kit.

Doesn't look like it is the same event. Look at the snow pic, his plate is on, then look at the show pic, its not.

TheLittleDeviant 06-23-2009 12:52 PM

hahaha, not the same show... these pics are about 6 months apart.

thank you everyone for the comments, I have more planned for the xD, I order a set of TRD brakes and the TRD rear sway bar today. depending on what I have for money left over this month I am planning a new set of wheels soon too. after that it will be on to more CF goodness, I was thinking fenders and hatch, but we will see...

gotDAMD 07-13-2009 10:09 PM

Howd you black out the headlights?

I heated them up in the oven, split em open, and just painted the casing... easy job, just time consuming... oh and if mom/dad/girlfriend/boyfriend/fiance is around... tell them before you do it... heated plastic tends to smell... bad...

robbiej 07-14-2009 11:08 AM

I wanna do my headlights too, love the D.

like I said its easy just time consuming.

real quick write up on how to do it:

1. preheat oven to no more than 250 degrees
2. remove front bumper
3. remove both headlights
4. suspend each headlight in the oven (do not let it touch any part of the oven itself, as it will melt the casing)
5. after a minute or 2 take the headlight out of the oven and attempt to pry open between the lens and the casing (you will have to repeatedly reheat the lights to keep the glue soft enough for you to get the lens entirely off)
6. take apart the casing and paint what ever your like (I removed the yellow reflector as well before painting)
7. reassemble the headlight, and squeeze the lens back onto the casing
8. reheat the headlight and then squeeze the lens again so you get a good seal
9. do the same for the other headlight
10. reinstall the headlights on the car
11. reinstall the front bumper

side note:
before painting the casing you will want to sand down anything that will be painted, primer first, paint, then clear it

YELOSUB 08-04-2009 05:46 PM

Sweet looking xD...Thanks for the write up...Gotta get to cooking some headlights soon...

Another question. How long have you had your cf hood and have you thought about putting on hood pins or is it not really necessary?

TheLittleDeviant 08-24-2009 08:30 AM

I have had it on since this past Christmas (Christmas day actually) and no I haven't even considered pins, completely useless IMHO...

CXTKRS1 09-07-2009 11:04 AM

Very nice.

TheLittleDeviant 09-08-2009 02:13 PM

Thank you. It looks like I will be moving to stage 2 with the xD soon... I am picking up tC injectors this weekend and will be soon adding either an SAFC-II or a GReddy E-Manage...

After figuring out if I can successfully install/tune I will be moving to finish my Turbo build...

KILLA XD 01-30-2010 12:24 AM

looks clean, where did you get the body kit

scirev 01-30-2010 02:49 AM

:jawdrop: Wow! That's the best looking black xD I've seen! I think Forjworks eyelids would look great on your D, if you don't have them already. I would have called it the 'Deviant Shadow' LOL. Looks good.

TheLittleDeviant 01-30-2010 04:10 PM

Well, I badges it with little deviant to stick with that theme, Im happy with it so far :)

I got the kit from extreme dimensions, I think it works well on the xD

TheLittleDeviant 04-07-2010 10:56 AM

Cylon_xD 04-07-2010 11:53 AM

Well, your xD certainly looks different now! nice job, Ted...

it kinda looks like a big piano key... :)

TheLittleDeviant 04-07-2010 11:56 AM

lol, I was thinking more like a Killer Whale...

The white is the Lexus IS 350 Glacier Frost Mica, so the color shifts between blue, purple, silver and pink pearls... its looks crazy in person, unfortunately the pictures really do no justice to the color at all...

Cylon_xD 04-07-2010 12:05 PM

Oooo, iridescence... now you'll have to get a set of those wheels that have that iridescent chrome finish on the rims, lol!

MoFaux 04-07-2010 12:37 PM

The New Paint looks Super!!

Really came out nice, and I'm sure it looks better in person ;)

TheLittleDeviant 04-07-2010 12:48 PM

The wheels are going to the powder coater this week or next, they are getting two toned to match the paint scheme :)

Arwen 04-07-2010 01:40 PM

ooOOOooo...I love two tones!!! I thought about doing this but I'll never be able to afford :p

Looks absolutely fantastic!

TheLittleDeviant 04-07-2010 01:46 PM

Thank you :) I appreciate it

SciFion 04-07-2010 09:21 PM

Your car looks great Ted, The transition line between the colors really works well on the car. Shows off the body lines nicely.

Still got the Cafe xD sticker in the window, I see... nostalgic, are we?! :)

TheLittleDeviant 04-14-2010 07:41 AM

Haha, yea I should probably get on that, huh?

Jay Smyles 08-04-2010 09:53 PM

very sharp ride. Looks like you've put a lot of time and money into it. It definatley shows bro. great work, but I miss the Deviant badge...

TexXBox 08-06-2010 10:25 PM

Just looked at this thread since it migrated back to the top of the list. Your ride looks hella sweet. It is hard to top a clean two tone in my book. Any pics with the fresh wheels on it?

Guess you changed your mind. :)

I like the look. I tend to like extremes, either real subtle or serious contrast. Definitely rockin' the contrast man.

CXTKRS1 08-09-2010 01:21 AM

Usually I'm not a fan of two tones but your ride looks damn good with it.
