YELOSUB 02-21-2011 08:05 PM

First of all, you got the xD for $3200? Damn, what kind of condition was it in? That's a steal...I say you definatley do some kind of engine swap...

xd_kidd 02-21-2011 08:18 PM

So can we ask the question again. Can we shove a tc motor inside and transmission aswell lol

YELOSUB 02-22-2011 08:39 PM

You can do anything as long as you have the money :)

scion4life 02-22-2011 09:05 PM

hmm..well im finally back and as for the condition of my car its really good i got a really good deal.it runs and drives , just a lil noisy inside the car when im on the highway.. i got no air-bags ...lol
i have installed hid 10k ,Phillips daytime driving light extreme blue, window visors..will post pics tomorrow morning need some sun..
as for the damage on my car i needed a new front bumper, windshield and hood..and paint its back to factory condition..

YELOSUB 02-22-2011 09:15 PM

For the price you paid, I would get a quick dis-connect steering wheel (forget the airbag), order a body kit, get a carbon fiber hood, fix the windshield, drop it on some DF210's or Tein's and get a set of wide a$$ wheels...You would still be under $10K...

xd_kidd 02-22-2011 10:50 PM

Lol I'm aware of pricing means sky is the limit but can't find the demensions of the motor to compare with the space under the hood lol

JDMJim 02-22-2011 11:53 PM

why not? I just saw a recent K-swap into a Elise

Only said that because he said it needed a new hood, but I do agree with ya...Coilovers over springs if I had the cash...

nothing wrong with a CF hood. just paint it body color

if you like one of the vented styles, sure, if youre gonna paint an oem cf hood body color theres no point not to just get a factory hood though.

JDMJim 02-25-2011 10:53 AM

Still lighter....I'd like the vented one myself, But matching the gray isn't easy.

i dont know, our hood is way too small for there to be any kind of noticeable weight savings from a carbon fiber variant, then theres getting all the mounting correct plus the added flimsiness and reduced durability of fiberglass/CF vs OEM

I'd only do it to get a pretty vented one or if my car was white for the panda look or black for the OEM+ look
