supercharger question???

i was looking at the rotrex kit thats on microimage and it states is for the 2012 yaris but i was wondering could this kit work on our car? given the motor sizes are different the only other thing i could see as far as a problem would be the mounting bracket for the supercharger. the supercharger is bolted to a bracket which inturn is bolted right above the alternator. the kit also includes an extended belt. now the question is does anybody think it could work or is it just a waste of time. cus honestly other than the bracket part i dont see a problem.

It could work. I mean anything can work, but tuning is the factor. People have turbo'ed the D but run into tuning problems. I believe they are using the same Rotrex and the european 1.8L Yaris was using so it will run on the engine and the brakets may even work.

TUNING TUNING TUNING is issue that comes to mind most.

Ok another problem other than tuning is the difference in pulleys between us. Idk if our pulleys are bigger or smaller. Again there different motor sizes though things look the same they may not b the same. And as for tuning i talked to a friend of mine about this and he said tuning would b an issue bcus the air to fuel mixture will be thrown off but he said if we cant tune the ecu an alternative is getting larger injecters and possibly a fuel regulator. That could work he said.

I want to know what tuning the Rally Xd has. They are running the greddy turbo. So tuning is possible even if it is a stand alone.

As for the fitting. I believe that case for the supercharge is the same that is in the kit for

So in that case it should fit with correct brackets.

i remember reading that for the corolla's turbo that is "in r&d" they needed a standalone in order to tune it. same motor as us.

remember that our cars don't have a Toyota ECU. it's a Daihatsu
