Getting Tint.. 20%? or darker?
Im getting tint on tuesday and I want to get the back window and the two back doors 5% so people dont look at my subs.. because the place here only goes 5% 20% or 35%... I was just wondering what you guys think about going that dark?

Just make sure that your still within your legal limits for that. I have all my windows darkened to the legal limit for my area and you cant see my sub and 27" tv. They are at 20% and I believe they change our limit to 28% but I havent had any problems yet.

Welcome. Now to the tints. ii believe 20% is the most darkest you can go without cops really getting on you. But 5% does look nice , And can't see nothing at nightime as you can see some with 20% but the risks are kinda up there driving during the day in 5% and happen to cross a cop. They know how 5% looks like.
---------- Post added at 03:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:28 AM ---------- Oh yea clumsy me I forgot you said two back doors 5% . Its 3 30 in da am lol. Anyways idk about ur state but in most that's fine aslong as the front doors are at 35% or w.e the limit is. But personally ii like it to look even all around otherwise makes me feel like I'm a shoufer or (dnt take it offensive) like an old timer following the rules lol |
Depending on the local cops and color of the xD you should be fine with 20%.

lucky in hawaii all windows beside front windshield (no tint at all) can't be darker then 35%. and if caught you get tagged PER window it's $95 each up to $500. and they love to look out for illegal tint here. =(

well i have decided on 5% on the very back and the two little windows on the back doors and 17% on the front and back door windows.. Ill post pictures tuesday when it is finished.

17%...that is such an odd number lol are you also counting the tint of the glass as well?
|
I run 20% on all my windows, WA law says 35%. If I get pulled over, I roll all 4 windows down before the officer gets to the car, no problems yet.
