just starting to mod the xD

so Ive had an RS 2 xD for a while now and haven't done anything to it yet. I just ordered a whole bunch of parts and can't wait to put them on.

got copper sawblades from another member
DF210 lowering springs
TRD sway bar
Weapon R secret weapon intake

Ive done all of these installations on my xB, but just wondering if the xD has any strange things I should be on the lookout for?

Gonna be an awesome day installing all this when they get here!

lol just finished posting on your thread on scikotics..

intake : easy
sway bar : easy
lowering springs : just make sure to cut the front bumpstops in half if youre on stock struts to avoid bottoming out all the time.
sawblades : easy since bob was on coils and didnt rub to my knowledge.

yeah, the lowering springs were the only thing I was really wondering about. I'll be using stock struts so yeah, i'll cut the bump stops. Prob wouldnt have thought of that!

The saw blades will need 2 tires mounted and 1 tire patched cause there is a nail in it, so hopefully I can get that done early next week after they arrive!

ThisorThatxD 03-28-2012 02:51 PM

know what tires youre going with??

Phobic 03-30-2012 07:49 AM

they're already mounted, well 2 of them are. not sure the size, I suck at remembering tire info. Should know by monday night when they arrive!

got springs and sway bar in the mail yesterday. hoping to do that this weekend if I can find a few hours free.

Just be ready to remove entire cowling under the hood below the window to get the front struts off. and make sure you connect the wipers back up before you get everything completely put back together. I left that undone twice. lol

dont step on your wiper motor either. my buddy did that and snapped the mount off.....

luckily he welded it back together.

haha, and i'll be sure not to step on it.

here is a pic of the wheels that were delivered yesterday. need to get 1 tire plugged, nail in it, and 2 tires mounted and then have them all balanced.

Good to know. I'll prob get the fenders rolled or cut to resolve that issue.

Got the tires mounted, new valve stems, and balanced yesterday. They look killer. Now I just gotta find time to put them on the car!
