is 2.5" piping too much
as the title says... I want a different exhaust system but what i want is only available at least with a 2.5" ... don't really know much about back pressure ect ect..
|
You can run 2.5 without an issue on a 1.8, will you be keeping the cats?

yea ii think ii am.. but figured 2.5 would be more suited for the 1.8 with some more power output..
and ii will be getting it custom make over the summer. or at least thats the plan.. want to get a lip kit first |
our stock cat pipe is already 2.5 inches, the only thing that need replacing for the complete exhaust would be a header and the cat back portion. everytime i head down the shore i always pass this really nice lookin exhaust shop so ima check them out and see what they can do. do want it to be welded, clamped, or flanged?
|
you do that. probably clamped. and as far as headers go.. i been keeping an eye on my corolla friends and a company is making headers for the corollas (2009 nd up / 2zr engine as well) and are going to do a before and after dyno after its done. so ima wait for that first.

i don't think it's too much. that's what I would do if I ever get a midpipe made
|
yea im deff. gonna consider going through it over the summer then and as for the headers nd mid pipes .. heres their main page.

Looking at the 1zz-fe header they have. Now that looks like a proper header. Are the corolla people doing a group buy? If so I need to get in on it!
|
all of there products look really good, seeing a full exhaust from these guys almost sounds promising.
|
yea they do nice work. i'll keep in touch if theres a group buy
