Hey, you can put on what ever you like. I am just trying to get some info out, and putting in what my plans are. I actually would like to keep the exhaust quiet. I think it is dead sexy for a car to be quick and quiet. The precision exhaust is not a bad deal, but I wouldn't care for it. As for a different platform, I wouldn't throw money at my daily driver to make it not street-able or have problems selling down the road. Just trying to increase efficiency, that's what I care about.

i got to read the article about the exhaust systems and there truely are many variables that effect power. honestly i was thinkin about just buying the precision axleback, and having a midpipe made to complete the cat-back, problem is there arnt any GOOD or TRUSTY muffler shops around my area other than midas an meinkie and there prices are ridiculous. my best bet is honestly just to wait another couple of months until new parts come out, there have been rumors of DANSTOY performance producing a turbo kit, and full exhaust for the XD how true that is idk but only time will tell.

I was looking into getting a magnaflow cat-back as well but after reading this post I agree. A cat-back doesn't have enough pros to worth $600-$700 some of these website are asking. A axle-back is the best bet for these cars. Now if your talking maybe a tc then sure go cat-back. So I'm diffidently going axle-back.

My boyfriend just built me an exhaust....for $7. LOL. Honestly, I love it. It sounds as good and the Tanabe I had on my tC and its dual so that rocks for me.

If you like the way it looks/sounds, go for it. :)

Dual Polished SS Magnaflows.....

How about Twin Magnaflows on 2.5 inch jobbies...
The Valve on the right one shuts it down to make the exhaust quieter for late night returns.....

$350 all together for hanging and pipes bought the Precision muffler, and Gabe set me up with one that looked EXACTLY the same but QUIETER for the second one, and the valve that is remotely operated from the cabin was $75.
The 2 mufflers are the same tone at idle, but one is much quieter at high throttle openings. With both mufflers open, I have not seen any "loss of pull" as some have said would happen without enough backpressure.... in fact, To the contrary, I find better performance when they are wide open.... Dunno, but the Butt Dyno on Driver side says gain... Passenger side Butt Dyno sez the same, so no matter.... I'm happy. With 2 mufflers open, WOT is simply a DREAM. . . . . . Love itttt, Love ittt love itttt :happy107:

Alot of people really do not understand how little back pressure an engine needs to run. Unless you literally pull the header off you will have plenty of back pressure for the engine.

not a huge fan personally, but the work looks well done and if dual exhaust was my thing, i'm sure id like it :D

now let me ask you this, how many big diesel trucks want to race you every time they see your v8 license plate + dual exhaust :p
