how to remove shift knob from manual xD
 

hi - stock standard xD here. Just want to replace the boring shift knob. I but have no idea how to remove the one in the vehicle. Pulling it? is there a colllar that should be popped off first? please help. I have no men around that are in any way mechanically inclined, to advise me. If you can take a pic for me of what you are telling me to do, that will help.

It just unscrews

welcome to the forums. and yup just keep turning it. it will have to turn awhile. so don't worry if you feel like it just keeps spinning and spinning. it does take a bunch of twists to take it off.
