Axxtion Short Throw Shifter Review

1 Attachment(s)
First review so please bare with me =)

One word: LEGIT!

Very happy with the product. It was shipped very fast, and inside was detailed instructions on how to install. The install took about 3 minutes. It could of course taken longer, but at the same time i was installing an intake aswell.

Shift throws are drastically quicker, and I see nooooo point in reducing it anyy less. 54% reduction seems to be just the right amount. Shifts are very clean and controlled.

Overall; A+

I told steve id take some photos so here they are:

Super Short Throw!

I had a NST in-Cabin Short throw kit and a engine compartment kit installed in my "D". The Engine side was a 20% one so I thought I'd try the 30% jobbie that Stephen sells (AXXION). What a Difference!!! now my shift patern is like 1 inch from neutral to any gear. it's now faster to shift the gear than do the clutch. I poke it on the roads and it sounds like a high perf automatic tranny. COOL MAN! it engages so damm quick. I never thought that would have made such a BIG DIFFERENCE. Stephen is a genius! the shift is so fast, that the engine has not even moved from the torqued position before the next gear is engaged. fels like I'm on the quarter mile strip ALL DAY LONG..... AHHHHH what BLISS.....

P.S. Don't get me wrong, now.. the shift is not as easy as a longer throw would be due to the loss of a mechanical advantage, but the shortness of the throw is what I want. It's not like you're shifting an 18 wheeler's box, so just remember, there is a little more drag on the shifter, but MUCH MUCH quicker.

F a s s s t s h i f t s !!!

Yeah man! It's a tad under an inch from neutral to any forward gear, and maybe an inch to get in to reverse.

Fun to get out of reverse and back to neutral when it's cold. LOL goes into another gear and keeps going into the upper or lower slot when trying to find neutral.

All in all, though just getting used to it will make everything PERFECT!

P.S.
If I had the Axxion FIRST, I probably would have left that project as done, but since I didn't, I ended up spending like $250 for short shifting mods alone!

Dass o.k. though. Fun fussin with the car any way you look at it! :)

ok, well, this is on my short list for early spring mods now, will take the TRD SSK off and put this one on, and leave my NST In-cabin one on as well, i like my shifter being real short... :hands:
