Hi, I'm new here. :)

Hi all, I'm new and just doing some "homework" (if you will). I was by the dealer today just looking, not ready to purchase yet. I will be reading the forum & asking a bunch of questions (if there are any) Thanx in advance !:)

Welcome.

Number one answer: Don't look for performance with the xD. Not alot of support out there. There are some basic bolt ons but nothing more that that available to the public right now (i.e. Turbos/superchargers not out)

^while mostly true, it is possible to make it into what you want. i mean, i have just about all the bolt-ons performance wise but im plan on going low and stanced. its got the juice to one-up ricers and surprise a couple people. nothing MAJOR though, so resolve does have a valid point.

buy the car for what it is. i have learned though that it is just downright fun.

Let me rephrase:

It has potential if aftermarket companies jump on board and it has nice drivability. But aftermarket support for major performance (turbos/superchargers, intake manifolds, etc.) is lacking. You can make it whatever you want and have fun with it. I personally didn't go performance. But just looking out for you. I have seen a few people get it and hope for performance and be disappointed at the lack of aftermarket backing.

So if you want performance based go another route. but if you want to something customizable that is fun to drive then get the xd.

Well said man. BTW welcome to the forum, go ahead and get the xD and then drop it to the GROUND. And have fun.
