xD Ragtop Open & Randode's Sick A$$ Cube PICS

Went over to Randy's house today with Scott so Randy could install some lowering springs on Scott's Mustang GT...While there, snapped some pics of the xD with the ragtop open and happened to get a few of Randy's sick a$$ Cube...Not the best quality pics because they were taken with my HTC thunderbolt but they will have to do...One day I will do a proper photoshoot of my ride...

I love the xD, but the cube isnt my thing

Like the headliner material. Gives it a more upscale look. What did you use on the visors, etc? Came out great.

The faded diamonds on the Cube are a nice subtle touch. Not my taste in vehicles, but I can definitely appreciate the quality and detail of the work. Easy to see why he has such a great rep and you trust him with your ride.

Thanks..The visors, map light, oh sh^t handles, etc were painted with dupli-color fabric and vinyl paint...That stuff is awesome to work with and dries quick...Just remember, apply numerous light coats as opposed to few heavy coats...Let it dry to touch (5-10 or so minutes) between coats...Remember to finish painting the bottom of each item first before moving to the top...Hope that helps...Here is what the can looks like...

Also, the paint job on Randode's Cube is actually argyle styled ghosted in...It helps tie in his quilted Clazzio's...It's really bad a$$ in person...

Thanks Kevin...I never thought I would like the Cube until I saw what Randy could do with it...He's got black Clazzio's with white stitching in the quilted pattern, looks badass...He's going to be building a fiberglass sub-enclosure with amp soon...He also fiberglassed a 7" monitor into the engine cover that he puts on at shows...

Thanks for the info on the Dupli-Color Tim.

YELOSUB 09-06-2011 08:10 PM

No problem Steve, if I would have known it was that easy I would have done it a long time ago...
