TRD Sparks Fog Lights
 

Has anybody here installed the fog light kit available from trd sparks? I want to install fog lights in my car, but i want to make sure that the lights are designed to be used as fog lights i.e. they have a wide flat beam pattern.

I have them on my xD. I love them and they work perfectly. I do recommend you upgrade the bulb that comes with it though. Its a H8 size bulb and they are hard to find but H11 fits perfectly.

I wonder if these will work on the rs 3.0 models?

No they wont, They are too differently shaped. You may be able to get it with some retro fitting. But I dont know what is behind your bumper.

install is cake... use a 35w hid kit and will be bright as ur heads haha

yeah i want fogs too but IMO these look so dinky/small. i like the ones on RSX's that fill the entire housing; i'd like 'em in that dark yellow. any suggestions?

well your just talking color. Go to www.ijdmtoy.com and get any color you want. Thats where I get all my lights from.

cool. thx for the link and info. so you confirmed using H11's in place of H8's for the foglight kit has no long-term side effects? how's longevity been for you?

btw, i searched http://store.ijdmtoy.com/H11-H8-H9-Bulbs-s/42.htm but could not find a different color (yellow). can you point me in the right direction? thx!

Yea, I'm running H11's with no problem at all. They are always on at night and have been for the last month or two. I dont know if they have yellow, here is their facebook, https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/iJDMTOY/178594859463 just send them a message. They are really fast with the responses and can find exactly what it is you need. If they dont have the color you want, check out their LED bulbs. They are almost as bright as HIDs and last 10x longer. I was going to get LEDs but they had a sale on HIDs which made getting a whole new set w/ ballasts cheaper. Good luck!
