Be very easy on the clutch and kind if feather it when backing up. Let it out until you strart rolling the depress it so you are kind of in neutral.

does your username indicate that you have a RS 2.0?!!?!? we need pictures! as for the driving standard, easiest way to learn is to just throw it in gear and without hitting the gas, slowly take your foot off the clutch, the xd has enough torque where it will start to move... what you want to do is play with the exact location on the clutch where the car will move... do this enough and you will learn where it releases, and from there you will be used to it and know when to gas etc... |
Yes i do i just bought it 2 days ago i will post pics within the day its a nice ride.

on another note i would like to know your opinion for when i should shift gears/down shift/and let out the clutch so its a smooth ride thanks |
That is so BAMF, I think your the first person I have come across that owns a 2.0!
like I said in the earlier post, you want to learn where the grab point is for the clutch first, once you have that, every shift will go much smoother! but as a FYI, I usually shift around 4K RPM's when I am city/highway driving... for the times I am not "Driving" I usually shift at 6700 RPM's... |
