http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Vert/093-1.jpg Dealer wanted to charge an insane amount of money for a cabin air intake installed so I just went around town pricing different after market brands. I know trdsparks sells them for $18ish but I found one at Advance Auto Parts for $8.49. The brand is Drive Works which is the commercial brand of Purolator and it should be a great filter. The difference is night and day for the air quality and smell coming through the vents...plus for $8.49 their is really no reason someone should not be running a cabin air filter. |
easy to install?
|
Yup. Open the lower glove box. Look at the upper back corners of the box and you will see tabs that limit how far the box opens. Squeeze the sides of the box in to allow the tabs to clear the dash and open the box all the way until it dumps everything on the floor. :) look inside the dash where the box was and you will see the blower motor. There is a cover that fits horizontally between the motor and the interior air inlet. Pull it off and the filter slides in like a drawer and then the cover snaps back on. Took me all of a minute or so to do mine.
