I was able to download the maintenance manual and the rotor isn't part of the hub or CV axle. I will use the jackscrews to pull it off this coming weekend. I didn't think it was but the surface...

Auto vs Manual Xd front rotors

I have both, 2009 Xd's, in my family and did the brake job on the Auto with no issues. The manual on the other hand is a different story. It seems the brake rotor is held captive by the CV axle nut....
