I would not recommend painting the billet grills black, If you want them black you either should get them powder coated or else just sell them and buy ones that are black finished from the factory - a friend of mine painted his billet grills black, and even doing the job right with primer and everything, they still chipped really bad within just a couple months, and they looked like hell... you need a more durable finish than just paint on those grills, they really take a beating up front...

I paid just around $100 for my set, for top and bottom grills...
