xD's sure stick out when they're done right. I like it too! I see snow in the first pic, then see a dude with shorts walking past in another. Same event? Seems kind of unusual..

Doesn't look like it is the same event. Look at the snow pic, his plate is on, then look at the show pic, its not.
hahaha, not the same show... these pics are about 6 months apart.
thank you everyone for the comments, I have more planned for the xD, I order a set of TRD brakes and the TRD rear sway bar today. depending on what I have for money left over this month I am planning a new set of wheels soon too. after that it will be on to more CF goodness, I was thinking fenders and hatch, but we will see...
I heated them up in the oven, split em open, and just painted the casing... easy job, just time consuming... oh and if mom/dad/girlfriend/boyfriend/fiance is around... tell them before you do it... heated plastic tends to smell... bad...
1. preheat oven to no more than 250 degrees
2. remove front bumper
3. remove both headlights
4. suspend each headlight in the oven (do not let it touch any part of the oven itself, as it will melt the casing)
5. after a minute or 2 take the headlight out of the oven and attempt to pry open between the lens and the casing (you will have to repeatedly reheat the lights to keep the glue soft enough for you to get the lens entirely off)
6. take apart the casing and paint what ever your like (I removed the yellow reflector as well before painting)
7. reassemble the headlight, and squeeze the lens back onto the casing
8. reheat the headlight and then squeeze the lens again so you get a good seal
9. do the same for the other headlight
10. reinstall the headlights on the car
11. reinstall the front bumper
side note:
before painting the casing you will want to sand down anything that will be painted, primer first, paint, then clear it
Thank you. It looks like I will be moving to stage 2 with the xD soon... I am picking up tC injectors this weekend and will be soon adding either an SAFC-II or a GReddy E-Manage...
After figuring out if I can successfully install/tune I will be moving to finish my Turbo build...
