Probably since they're just sitting there with no weight on them. I think when I get them mounted on the car it will look sit pretty close to where it is now. But it will look soooo much nicer
Here's a couple pics of my Katana wheels - very similar to yours only 5 spoke and the back part of the spokes are painted black... these were taken before I lowered the car, the fenders are now flush with the top of the tires:
