Well that sux... Hmm, what happened to your original one - you sell it or toss it or something? Anything I take out of my car for modding purposes I keep, for whenever I decide to get rid of the car, or have to due to financial reasons... or for just the reason you need one now!

If you still have the interior gutted, racing seats in, and aftermarket steering wheel/hub, you've got a lot of work ahead of you for "street legal"

on a side note.. when my dad took his GMC Sonoma with a 4.3 to CA. Emission test in PA on paper were stricter.. figure that one out
