Holy crap! Those are awful!

I was thinking you all were just picky... but those really are bad. I wonder if the old style got bad safety ratings or something?

LMAO WTF is up with that. I bet people were complaining that they were having to raise the seat headrest and they was to much work for some fat ass Americans.

I agree that those are the most hideous looking headrests I have ever seen...They look to also be a huge hazard...WTF were they thinking?

the xD I test drove in 08 had it's head rests up and the first thing I said when I got on the car is what's up with the headrests, I can't see out the back window. then I found out they retracted into the seat. I may not have bought the car otherwise.

I remove mine for 80% of time. Also, the manual says you have to remove them in order to fold the seats down for cargo area. One just has to use their side view mirrors more that's all.

Default new headrests functional?
Queena,

I am wanting to do the same thing. I am so glad you posted on here that you were able to have the 2011 headrests changed out for 2010. I am wondering, with the replacement headrests, are you still able to adjust them up or down like in the 2010? Or, do they just occupy the headrest holes and can't be adjusted?

Thanks!

Lindsay

The replacement headrests work perfectly, you are still able to move them up and down like normal. Definitely breathed a sigh of relief when we saw that the headrest rails lined up with the holes in the seat and that they are adjustable.

Hope that helps! And good luck!

Default replacement headrests
Very helpful - thank you! My dealer told me the old style headrests are $400 a piece, so they recommended I look on ebay and craigslist for someone selling them cheaper.

Thanks again!
