Default Rattling noise
Well as the title says im getting a terrible rattling noise from my engine bay area closest to the serpentine belt. Now originally i thought my belt was loose because if i had the steering wheel turned left/ right maxed out there was a rattling noise coming from the "belt" so i re adjusted the belt and the sound went away during maxed steering. But... now the sound is more audible when im at a stand still and tap the gas. I thought by re adjustin the belt it would go away but it made it worse. I know the belt is tensioned to the max so for sure i need a new belt. But what else in that area could be making a rattling noise.

Check the water pump. The bearing goes bad which can cause a noise.
