Default 2008 random jerking of the engine - no check engine light
I am a new to this forum and have provided most of the maintenance to the 2008xD since purchased new.
After new plugs at 130k miles a month back I now have had two events that can only be described as the engine is jerking.
Oddly there is NO check engine light or other alert.
Any ideas on best way to proceed?

engine jerking doesn't say much. how is it jerking/when is it jerking? idle, driving, flooring it, breaking?

need more info.

jerking or hesitation (either engine or transmission) under load or not - seems random

hard to diagnose without seeing, but check your air filter make sure it is clean. probably not the issue but possible coilpacks.

Was it on the same take of gas?

Is it an automatic? If so maybe need tranny oil and filter changed.

If it is not throwing a code it is one of two things. the problem if mechanical. or it is happening with such irregularity that the computer is not storing the code long enough to trigger light. normally if occurs once the code will store for short period without engine light. if occurs again or multiple times while code stored then light will trigger.
