Default Supercharger
So in browsing the usual sites i came across this http://toyotapartspeople.com/searchp...rcharger+-+A/T
i i was wondering since people are using the 1zz exhaust manifiold for turbo projects, if the intake manifold flanges would line up aswell? if so this would be a reasonablly priced boost in power : ) only thing is that like the 05+ corollas we would probably need to get an adapter for a throttle body : )

well the stock 1zz supercharger puts out 8 pounds... there was a guy in puerto rico running 10 pounds with no engine manegement and it lasted about a year : ) so im sure with some tuning 10 psi is probable

that be cool. ii also pondered with the tc s/c retrofitting into the xd but all this lack of parts is kinda upsetting.

yah all someone would need to do would be to get a 1zz intake manifold gasket and a xd intake manifold gasket and compare them if they are the same diameter ports then we can use it : ) and all we would need would be a piggyback ecu and a belt then we can run this : )

Yah I know the 1zz exhaust manifold fits but what's in question is the intake manifold which would be replaced by the blower

alright so the supercharger will not bolt up without some modification.... the ports are the same but the bolt holes are different... : ( so thats a bust but you can get a new flang welded on the charger to make it bolt directly up to our block : ) so this is possible with a little work

how far off? like grab a drill and get to it? or weld on new metal and then start drilling?

would be realatively easy... : ) you just need to trace your stock intake mani onto some metal and have it cut out : ) then have it welded to the 1zz supercharger : ) wiring it up is a whole different story haha

I wouldnt think it would need a tune if your keeping a low boost. tC's can run them untuned from the factory, Yari can go untuned as well...
