Default xD and s10 photo shoot (Sorry pics so big)
Me and Shirley did a mini photo shoot with our cars tonight.

No the s10 is not bagged. Static drop suspension drop is 5 inch up front and 6 in the rear and tires create approximately another 1 inch drop all the way around so total drop with suspension and tires is approximately 6 in front and 7 in rear. And it is my daily driver.

i just realized you took the tape off between the doors, makes things look a lot cleaner.

tip: you can remove the scion badged, take the black plate off the back of them, and then put the badges back on, helps clean up the look of the car, A LOT. i think anyway.

make a thread about the shave process please. i dont want bags but i may steal the shaved look.

Yeah I just tinted the headlights for now. It was kind of I just wanted that done for IFO since the glare from the HIDs was ridiculous. I will probably try to tint the backs this weekend if I get a chance. But I do have other plans for the headlights. So the tint may just be temporary so it is just rattle can.

The doors are not fully done. I have more sanding and stuff to do. Those got finished like a week ago and rain and stuff has hindered progress. Again hope to get some work done on them this weekend.

I will post a thread. If you can get the door handles off it isn't that hard.

The tape on the windows has been off since like a week after we bagged it.

We are not finished yet. Not sure on paint yet. Shirley is working on a few ideas since it is her car and we are probably going to be getting a body kit so we will wait to paint it until all that is done so we only have to paint once.

I DO NOT HAVE THE AIRRUNNER KIT. I worked with AirRideFittings.com and got the kit setup, but I believe they have since took it down since no one wanted to buy it.

My setup consist of Universal Air Bags front and rear. 5 gallon tank and dual Viair compressors. I created my kit prior to Universal Air showing the kit available for xD on their site. Also they want $2200. I paid around $1500 piecing it together.

For bag brackets I have the UA front brackets and the rear I had a old set of FBI MINI first gen xb rear bag brackets.

At this time, plans are in the works to completely redo the suspension setup. Still will be Air, but changing how the setup looks and re-running the lines. More to come on that.

As for car it's going to be painted next month to a Satin Black for the time being. I was hoping to have it painted last year but the s10 in the pictures had other ideas and I had to spend my money getting another ride. Then about 6 months or so ago I got rear ended and the rear door needs to be fixed and the rear bumper replaced. So the Satin Black will be temporary just to hide the primer from door shaving while other fixes occur . Once the Doors are fine tuned still some imperfections from shaving and the rear is fixed will be painted a nice two tone. Since got rear ended and money was tight since my wife was unemployed work on the car was halted. but now in better position so work is starting to resume.

The S10 was working again but parked it for a few weeks until I could change rear brakes and now it is having either fuel filter or fuel pump issues. Will find out this weekend when I change the filter but it tried to crank and then stalled out and now wont crank. acting like fuel problem and fuel pump is making alot of noise. I want to get it on the road again.

car's gonna look dope once its painted, i dont know if i've ever seen a car where shaving the handles made such a big difference as it does on the D. it brings that mid body line out big time. on top of that youre the only person i know that has it done.

I've actually been thinking about doing bags on just the rear though im not sure how hard it is vs whether its worth it or not

Baggin the rear would be easy and shouldn't cost to much and you would be able to get the rear lower when you stop. But eventually you would probably want to do the front. lol. I am sure there is some way to get the rear lower with the coilovers. but would either involve custom springs or changing the body on the xD

yep, i could cut the springs in the back, the problem lies in the fact that k-sports rear springs are way too soft.

plus just having the rear able to go higher makes getting over a lot of things easier since it raises your center.

what do you think it'd take?

Bare minimum needed to bag the rear if going to link both sides together:

rear brackets $90
rear bags (2) $120
Valves (2) $100
tank (2 or 3 gallon) $60
compressor (1) $190
pressure switch $15
relay for Compressor $6
airline (25 ft) $16
fittings (depending on what you want) $30 to $50
switch $5

So around $650.

---------- Post added at 04:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:58 PM ----------

oh and wire running electrics so around another $50 or so.

The whole car would be about $1500 or so if you did the work. That would include front bags, bigger tank, extra airline, extra valves, front brackets, switch box, dual compressors instead of one, extra fittings and wire.
