I haven't taken all of mine out, but what I have done is easy. The surround on the radio/hvac panels in the center just pulls off from the top. The door pieces where the window switches are just snap in to the door panels from the top. The center console piece around the shifter just pulls up. You have to unscrew the shift knob on a manual for the boot to slide up the shift lever and then the boot will unsnap from the panel once you have it out. To the best of my knowledge everything just snaps/plugs into its respective support structure. Once you have the main assemblies out you can see any screws or clips that hold things like the window switches, clock/airbag warning panel and hvac stuff into the trim itself. Also, the trim around the gauges just pulls out if you grab it on the vertical pieces between the speedo and the side panels. Lower the steering column for added clearance to get it out.
