Default Why me?!
Well, I just had a really bad weekend car-wise - I hit a big chunk of wood out on the road on Saturday, and it flew up and smacked against the passenger side of my xD, put a nice dent in the passenger door and f*cked up the paint on both the front and the rear door... probably $800-$1000 dollars damage at least, I bet... and I have a $500 deductible. crap. Then Sunday, I pulled into the driveway after getting some groceries, and when I opened my driver-side door, it tapped against the corner of the concrete retaining wall and put a nice little dimple in that door... Grrr!!!

AND, I still have the big gouges on my rear hatch from closing the overhead garage door on my open hatch last summer, that I didn't get fixed yet... That was going to cost me another $400... sigh, I suppose I'll have to bite the bullet and have it all repaired at once. My luck, I'll get it back from the body shop and some idiot will hit me the very next week and total it...

Well, So much for my 2009 tax refund - there goes most of it...

Haha, and then to top it all off - I ran out of gas on the way to work this morning, had to walk a half mile to the nearest gas station and get a container of gas and walk back, so I was over a half-hour late getting to work...

how you run out of gas? we have a gas gauge.

but feel ya with the damage. I waited a year to fix my front bumper and the car was good and straight for not even a month. went out to my car one morning and there is this divit just below the body crease/window about a inch long. even cracked the paint around it. looks like a hammer blow. so back to being hoopty for me. I haven't even bought tires for the Konig's rims this year.

Haha, yeah, when I left the house Monday morning, I even thought to myself "Self, I need to go to the gas station to get gas and my daily cup of coffee." So I stopped at the gas station two blocks from my house and got my coffee just like I do every other day, but that quick I forgot to get the gas. DOH!

It doesn't help that the gas guage is silent, it doesn't announce repeatedly that the gas is low, so I never really notice that tiny little flashing light on the guage... Now if it was as obnoxious as that damn seatbelt dinger, I would most likely remember...lol.

You know what they say When it rains it pours. Maybe this will get all the bad luck out of the way.

I've watched the Dent Wizard guys perform magic... If the paint isn't really damaged. During my
VW days, we would get the DW guys to come out to our big annual GTG...and they would remove dents for half price, cash only.

I had a rock bounce up and whack my hood right next to the scion emblem. Put a nine dent in it and gouged the paint. My first real dent. I have lots of scratches that have mysteriously appeared.

On an up note, my next car payment is the halfway point! Only 18 months to go!

yeah, the body shop guy said the dentless paint repair and some buffing should be sufficient, less than $200 if that's all it needs - but, I'm getting the deep gouges in my hatch removed and repainted, from my garage door closing on it - that will be another $370 on top of that... so in any event, I'm gonna shell out at least $500...

The 'D goes into the shop next Tuesday, day after Memorial Day, for the body work, so hopefully good as new soon...

^^ Agreed.

Dents are unavoidable!

I did a number on my car on monday...forgot I had the bike on the roof rack
and tried going into the garage...the rack came off, and with the pressure dented the frame of the car just above the back/left door. Nice fist-sized dent

Nothing else was damaged though

Well My Tahoe got driven into the back of my xD about a week ago. nice dent in the back hatch and mark on the rear bumber.

was a combination effort on mine and Shirley's part I tried to get her to pull the Tahoe up some more and she gave it a little to much gas and ran into the back of it. But atleast it only has a 3 inch lift and not 6 or I may have lost the rear window. lol

Aw holy crap, someone hates me or something... I was driving on the highway heading back to my office on Wednesday afternoon, and a stone kicked up by a dump truck in front of me hit the windshield and put a nice bullet hole in it... so now I got THAT to get fixed too. dang it. I just got the car inspected a month ago, if they replace the windshield I'll have to go back to the dealer to get my inspection and emissions stickers put back on as well. So that's two trips to the garage. double dang it.

Calgon, take me away...!

safelight.... call them for your windshield.

if it's smaller than a quarter, they can fix it on the spot with resin. and they contact your insurance, and 99% of the time, something simple like that is covered.

remember, "safelight repair, safelight replace"...

i saw them do it to a co-workers car the other day in the parking lot. 20 minutes, done.
