Default Hello and simple question about wheels :)
Hi! My name is Marcelo and I'm new here and to the Scion XD world (got mine a month ago and I love it).

I would like to know if replacing the 16" stock wheels with the 17" stock wheels (tires included) of a Scion TC would be piece of cake. I am pretty sure it would, but I wanted to double check anyway.

Thank you so much in advance!

Marcelo

yep its a cakewalk, pretty common first mod to get the steelies off, and makes the car look a whole lot better.

just note that only the17s from the 2010 and below wheels work, the 18"s from the 2011+ are a different lug pattern

oh and dont forget the tc wheels use washer style lugs and not the cone style lugs that xD steelies use, so you'll need tc factory lugs too

yes... yes you do.... not doing so is wrong and dangerous...

dont mistake what youre doing as the right method

tc lug^

xd lug^

with this, you are not getting proper surface contact, theres a 1-2mm ring around the xd lug that will be making contact when it should be an entire flat washer surface.
kthanks
