Removing nightshade/ other spray on tint
I thought this may help someone in the future so i decided to go ahead and post this.
But while me and my buddy where to trying to spray tint his del sols head lights we messed up and had to start over. But our problem was we couldnt get the tint off completely with paint thinner or goof off... After digging through my shop I decided to risk using PVC pipe cleaner on the headlight. I completely removed all the tint and made it look 100% brand new. I'm not sure if it will or can eat away the plastic on the lamp but it worked for me. :happy107: |
good to know, pictures?

*UPDATE I painted my tail lights and didnt have any problems so I didnt have to use the cleaner. But trust me it does work... |
Funny - Goof Off worked perfect for me and got it all off

i used VHT Nightshades on my taillights and on my headlights. first time i did my taillights, they weren't real shiny. i used laquer thinner to get it off the taillights. worked perfectly without any problems.
i also did my girlfriends HHR taillights and i even blacked out the chevy emblems on her car with the Nightshades. BTW...if you use this with the parts still on the car and get a little overspray on the paint....Fingernail polish remover gets it right off the paint without messing up the clear coat or paint already on your car. |
