Similar springs

I was just wondering if the d's springs are similar to any car besides the yaris? Someone i know that has an 09 Xb was telling me that for a cheap drop for his car he can just use the springs off of a 05. Im in and out of junk yards all the time because i rebuild insurance cars for a friend on the side. Anybody compare the springs to any other car? funds are kind of tight right now. I came across a matrix and a prius anybody know if there springs would be similar?

springs off an 05 to drop an 09? Isn't the weight difference kinda huge? That wouldn't seem very safe to me. I would just hold off until you can afford something that you are certain would work and still be safe and reliable. hate to see you put something on, only for them to give out quick and you hurt your car

hence the reason Tanabe spring are saggy on a xD. the spring rate is too soft and they get squished. what do you want? really low? your in Hawaii, look into some RSR from Japan. as in...

I didn't to go too low perhaps 2 inches. I want to find springs that are the same rate/size and just heat and bend them. Don't want to do this to the stocks. This is just temporary till I can afford drop springs

Good call,

Ever hear stories of people going down the highway and their back springs shooting out the back when they hit a nice bump? thats what cutting springs and using springs that arent made for the car will do for you.

Just get something thats made to fit properly, lowering springs arent that expensive, and our suspension is cake walk to work on with a simple walkthrough.

soo nice. too expensive right now to convert it tho =/

eh, springs are not THAT expensive, Chris... I paid $140 for a set of Progress springs that are almost as low as that xD... installed them myself, with a garage and a little help from a friend, in less than 3 hours, and I never did any work like that on a car before...
